I purchased the PS5 since the SIL and grandson play Fortnite. A few months back we set it up and plug it in for the first time. Get everything going and start downloading Fortnite .... I've got fast internet and it gives us an estimate of 2.5 hours to down load. I think that's a long time and my SIL laughs because it took them 2 days to download Fortnite at their home. So after I watch them play for a while they asked if I want to try. I'm actually intimidated & not ready but I mentioned I used to play a lot of Galaga at the bar back in the day. So we locate Galaga and download it.

Fortnite took 2 1/2 hours to download

Galaga took less than a minute

My grandson is still laughing but I kicked his ass in Galaga :emoji_muscle::emoji_older_man:

Galaga is one of my all time favorites.

Just finishing up Ghost Recon Breakpoint here. Not sure what I'll play next...maybe Far Cry 6. I did Far Cry 5 back before Breakpoint and Generation Zero and it was pretty good. Dunno.

I do take a break from the main game I'm playing occasionally to mess around on Halo Infinite. I like to just taunt and screw with the grunts to get their reactions...they're conversations are hilarious.

In my opinion the Halo and Gears of War series were some of the best of the best. Crysis and Metro also.

Metro series was amazing. The S.T.A.L.K.E.R series is out on console now. It's really old, and the graphics are rough, but that's similar and really good. Like a cross between Metro and Fallout 3. Something really great about atmospheric post-apocalypse free world FPS RPG games :)

Have to look into Stalker. I started Fallout 3 last week but keep getting my ass handed to me. Still trying to figure out what items/weapons are important...who to kill and so on. How to stay alive is a good start tho!

Metro was very intense. The music especially really set the atmosphere when wandering alone in the tunnels. One of the few games I didnt mute the music down to almost nothing.

Part of what makes Fallout 3 great is that it's unforgiving in the beginning. Don't give up! I restarted my character to try again, and it felt good in the beginning, but then I found I was overpowered later on and missed the struggle a bit. Stalker is similar in this regard, but a bit less exploitable than Fallout.

Metro has such great atmosphere :)

Early on. Every weapon is important. Grab whatever you can and use it to trade for ammo or caps. I tried playing FO3 on my computer with WIN10 and a pain. Too much stalling out

I have a PS5. Have a few different sports games, COD modern warfare, god of war, elden ring, etc. About the only thing I really play is fortnight and some pga tour golf thing, I think its one with tiger woods on it. I don't play it as much as I want to, but I'm pretty good and dying in fortnight, and kicking the computers butt in golf. LOL

I'm not into gaming as much as I used to be, but every now and then I binge on Diablo. This year its Diablo 4 on season 4. It has a lot of replay-ability given that you can pick a different character and build then have to learn how to use it effectively.

I really loved the original Diablo. I tried similar games recently and just can't get used to top down and point and click movement anymore. I am currently hooked back on WoW which I've played off and on since launch many years ago.

I'm with you on that one. The first diablo was great. The new Diablo 4 was such a disappointment. There's no payoff in that game. Everything is scaled such that any progression is ultimately meaningless.

I haven't got Diablo 4 but I still play 3 quite a bit. There are no more new seasons but they are replaying some old ones and have incorporated a couple of features of some as permanent now.

I played D3 for the longest time. Only started getting into the seasons late in the game. I'm really enjoying D4 this season. Lots of changes made and it's not as much of a grind anymore. Plus the Necro is getting some love. It's been my go-to since it was introduced.

I see Diablo 4 has a free trial period going on Battlenet now

It's on battlepass for xbox/pc if you're on either of those. It's about the only game I play when I have time. I tend to binge play it. Long periods of never looking at games, then 2-3 months of intense play.
