I have been wanting to do a stuffed burger with smoked Gouda for my site. Also my kid has a thing for giant burgers. I wanted to put a twist on the groud beef thing. I mixed 2 lbs 80/20 hamberger with 1 lbs. Jimmy Dean maple sausage, Worcesterhire sauce, 1 egg and somt McCormicks garlic & onion medley. I then formed patties and put Canadian bacon and smoked Gouda cheese on the inside with some McCormick's Mesquite seasoning. I layed another patty on top and seled it up. On top I dusted it with Jack's Old South hickory rub, mopped it with Jack Daniels honey Dijon mustard and draped bacon over it. Smoked low and slow 230 degrees using Mesquite pellets. Smoked on my Traeger Texas Elite. Man the flavor was amazing. It made my sons day!
