Only cost a stamp or two.

Where are your different types from ?
squatch yeti and alien I started 3 years ago when we lived in S, FL. Nessie is from Canada and is 3 weeks old (very active) 133 years old supposed to be. Kensington mkt.

Squatch likes gold medal unbleached ap
yeti likes king Arthur bread flour
Alien and Nessie like King Arthur unbleached ap.

But I'm sure you can feed any type, might take a day or two, to get bubbly.

I've been using the Oregon Trail starter.
It's been kept going since 1847.
I'm sure mine has changed some since water and flour are no the same.
It just costs a SASE to get, but they accept donations to help in keeping it going.
I threw a fiver in the envelope when I ordered mine.
Available from here --> Oregon Trail Starter

I had that.
It was hyped garbage. Did 0 for 3 months, went in the round file.

I still have some Roberta's Pizza N.Y. Starter fed with Central Mill's organic type 80 wheat flour. That works great for pizza and bread, although my bread baking skills are far below my pizza skills. If anyone would like some, shoot me a message.

Dan.
