Hello Guys, I'm a bit of a tech head with too much equipment and I want to make myself the most over engineered biltong maker that exists... yes, I know it's crazy but it's happening.
SO, at the moment I have a designed and written a program that will execute the following:
Humidity will be below 45% at all times (on board dehumidifier)
Stage 1 - Temp will be 22°C (71°F) for the first 24 Hours. (On board heating and cooling)
Stage 2 - Temp will be 34°C (93°F) for the next 48 Hours. (On board heating and cooling)
It has a small touch screen 5" that I can monitor everything on as well as adjust the 2 stages both temp and time.
my question is how often should I replace the air inside the unit?
I have a couple of ideas.
1 - Dry the air to 35 % the stop the dehumidifier wait until it gets to 45% cycle the air for 10 mins then re dry to 35%
2 - Slowly cycle the air at 1 complete change per hour.
3 - Cycle once every 12 hours
4 - Don't cycle it at all.
any other ideas, suggestions etc please let me know.
