Have wanted to get into smoking beef for some time.
A recent issue of United Services Coop magazine that was dedicated to Texas Barbeque gave me the final push to jump in.
Did research online for a couple of weeks and kept coming back to this site.
Finally, I convinced myself that a Weber SMJ was what I needed to get started and probably what I deserved since I have never smoked anything in my life. Then, thanks to your forum, I discovered the Master Forge charcoal bullet smoker.
If I can learn to use it, there will be opportunities to move up to a more sophisticated smoker.
Thanks to this forum, I opened the box at Lowes and was able to check every piece for condition. Assembled it and burned it in yesterday. Will smoke a brisket this weekend. Again, thanks for a great forum.
