These aren't very hard to make, but I experimented with them one night when we were having hamburgers and we had no fries.
Take sliced portabella caps and brush olive oil on both sides. Sprinkle with either garlic salt and black pepper......or just garlic pepper if you can find it. I have only found it at kitchen stores.
grill on each side for about 4-5 minutes on medium/high heat.
Remove and put in bowl and cover with foil and let rest for about 10-15 minutes giving the juices time to mingle around.
Enjoy. I think they are very good with steaks and Hamburgers. My wife gets slices of swiss for homemade mushroom swiss burgers.
