After many months ( and many posts/ questions on this site), I am getting close to pulling the trigger. I am starting to lean toward the Rec-Tec. I originally was thinking the Louisiana LG 1100. I liked the meat probe and 600 degree temp options and that it comes with searing grates. However, after reading some reviews, I am a little concerned on temp control/even temps in the grills and have read of some issues with the temp computer. I also researched the GMC's and came away with the impression that they were not well built and kind of flimsy.
Are there any other grills in the $800-1,100 range I should be looking at. I think the yoder is going to be more than I want to spend after getting all accessories.
I am guessing the Rec Tec will come in closer to 1,300 by the time it is shipped and I get the accessories I want/need so that may eliminate them as well.
For those that have pellet grills that hit 600 degrees, is it an option you are glad you have, or do you feel it is not needed?
Please send any ideas or suggestions my way. My OCD makes any large purchase a bit difficult with all of the research involved.
I would like to thank Seen Red for the PM's he has sent me with info about the Rec Tecs
