You might not want a front seat, first time using all sticks.

Skin was rubbery. Everything else was great I need to dry the bird before cooking in this I guess.

Higher temp and drying the skin will help. Or you could go naked and remove the skin. Been doing that quite a bit and the results are quite tasty.
