I recently got done building this shaq and i know i have to vent it but i am wondering the best way to go about it. If i should cut a barrel in half and hang it with some ducting going up through the roof or hang a fan and blow it. Any advice will be good. This is my first smoker and shaq i built.

Something as simple as a freestanding floor fan to push the smoke out the side opening would work great.
I have my smokers under a tin patio cover as well and the smoke will fill the house up something quick, so I put a fan near the back door blowing the smoke out the side of the patio cover, and it works great.
Try the simple before you spend time and money on something more elaborate.

Nice looking shack!!!

Some of the suger shacks around here have one or more of the roofing panels that can open up to let the smoke out.

Dang! That's a nice set up!

With all that open air I'm not sure you really need to vent it... but I agree that a free standing fan would help keep it out of the house.

Ok I’ll check that out see how it goes. Thanks for the input.
