I have to say, downtown Houston has no really good bbq.(unless you live in Anchorage in which your definition of good bbq maybe on a different scale (flame suit on).
Without going to Austin, Lockhart, Taylor, Lexington, I would say, go to Central Texas bbq in Pearland (30 min without traffic), Swinging Door in Richmond (50 min without traffic), or my last choice would be Rudy's (several locations in Houston). They're decent.
Living in Houston, I don't eat at Goode Co. Bbq, Pappas, or Demeris anymore.
Actually, when r u heading down and free to hit the town for food or que experience? If I don't have a gig that day, I don't mind picking u up and helping out a brother in smoke. Assuming that you are a brother right? Don't wanna get in trouble with the missus.

ya man I'm all "DUDE" so your safe from the missus! LOL. I not even sure I will have time for dinner but checking if i do. I'm basically there one night and it a 50-50 chance I have to do a long day. so it's tough to plan a time and a place but thanks for the invite. I sometimes travel to Houston for work and will take you up on that offer when i'm down for a full week or two.
