Hey all,
Was a perfect day yesterday to clean the pool while enjoying the sweet smells of meat on the smoker.
The wife was in the mood for something easy to finish off the weekend so this was a perfect time to try out some Beer Can Burgers that I've been wanting to test out.
These were very easy to prepare and similar to stuffed burgers or fatties, the options are endless...
I like to keep things simple, so for these I was going with some sauteed mushrooms, onions, and green peppers....I also cut up some thin cut roast beef to add in;
I after shaping and wrapping the burger up with bacon, I added a couple of chunks of hard cheddar and Mozzarella, and finally sprinkled a little KEG spices;
Tossed these on the BGE with some Pecan and Mesquite at 235;
After about an hour and 45 minutes, I tossed on some chopped bacon and a little shredded cheese...took them off 15 minutes later;
The Verdict...WOW!!! These blew my mind...I used some fresh pretzel buns (picture not shown cause I was too excited at this point on how they turned out). Only negative was that they were huge...no issue for me...but the kids had a rough time. LOL
These are for sure gonna happen again!
Cheers.
