Was going to smoke some cheese and needed to season the amazing smoker I just got so I legt the smoker.  It lighted up then wen out and not will not relight.  The propane tank is full but no gas is getting to the burner, I tried to light with a match and tongs. I am seasoning the amazing smoker in the oven so still wil do the chesse.  But I wil have to figure out whats wrong with the smoker.  It is a brinkman vertical gas smoker.  My plan is to disassemble the burner and the hoses to make sure there is no blockage,  I do smoke a lot but would not think it would die in 8 months,

I anyone here has any ideas let me know please

A few years ago i had a big problem with the

'NEW" UL plastic connector we have to use on propane tanks now.

the problem was it had warn out and did not release the safety value on the tank. No propane.

fix: I switched back to the old connector from an old bbq and that fixed it. At work we had a BBQ also and ended up putting small #8 washer in between the connector and the safety valve. it worked.

Maybe you have this problem. Undo the connector and redo it and whiglle the connector as you tighten it up.

Hope this helps..

Good smoking...

I'm not familiar with your unit but when I switched to the new tanks I found that turning the value on to fast shut the gas flow off or almost off. When I shut it down and restart it it's fine

What Dan said.

I used to have that happen to my gas grill. It made a vibrating hum too. I had to purge the air out of it. Ever since that I open it slowly, and haven't had a problem since. I'm just guessing here.

I once had a problem where my Masterbuilt 7-1 wouldn't light.  It turned out spiders had made a nest in the pipe leading the gas burner.  Cleaned it out with an opened coat hanger and things were just fine!
