anyone own a bradley smoker

I was wondering if anyone uses a original bradley smoker on here. I ran across a guy who wants to sell one really cheap, it is a little beat up but still works well. Just looking for some oponions and wondering if it would be worth buying ?

I have one and like it. I use a PID to control the temp, so it is real easy to just set it and not worry about temp. The bad thing is you have to buy the pucks. It works real good for making jerky and salami since the temp is easy to control. Also it is good for cold smoking. You could go to the Bradley web site forum and get all kinds of info.

I have one that I have used for two years and I really like it. Like some electric smokers it is hard to get higher temps in the cold weather but it is a good product. As for the pucks, you can find them on line sometimes for a good price. Overall, I do not find them out of line for what you get. Three pucks will smoke for an hour.

peterson pucks are awesome, and at a fraction of the cost.

I have the digital 6 rack and find it worthless to do anything in except maybe cold smoking or anything that doesn't take much temp to smoke.PDT_Armataz_01_33.gif

I have never been able to get the cabinet temp over 200ยบ. It took 23 hrs to smoke a pork butt. PDT_Armataz_01_33.gif

I would suggest you get the new 40" MES at Sam's Club for $299.. plus the 3 yr warranty for $39.00 or buy my Bradley which has been used twice. PDT_Armataz_01_34.gif

I am going to buy the MES once my local Sam's gets them in...PDT_Armataz_01_34.gif

bradley smoker

I have an OBS that is about 4 yrs. old and can use it for anything. I have it in a unheated shed and have smoked when outside temp has been 40f below. I pried the louvres on the drip plate open as wide as I could and got the heat 50 t0 74 f higher. It gets the shed up to almost thawing which helps a lot. Piker
