Others have stated that they have a few holes in the bottom of their fireboxes. If that is the case you may want to drill a drain hole or two.

You could also shop vac it out.

The vaccum sounds pretty easy but if you want drill a hole about 1 1/2" and put in a pet **** and then you can just drain it as you want to. You know the big brass fitting with a handle.

You can get them at Harbor Fright at a good price. I tried the shopo vac, it works, just messy.

When I hose out my offset I do it while it is hot and there's a fire in the firebox. I just build a bigger fire and it dries out from the heat.

Why not just start a fire in it and boil it out???? Please... someone correct me if this is a bad idea, cause ive done it a time or two and dont want to ruin my smoker.

Just pick it up, turn it upside down and shake it a few times... biggrin.gif
