well after a whole month on SMF'S im already sick of my brinkman, lol. not really. but here she is in the works. new UDS.

got a drum with old gas in it. burned it out with a full to the brim load of firewood. i heat with wood inside home and shop and have a semi load of it so that was easy.

1. drum. free.

2. one weber lid. free.
3. 2 weber grates free.
4. ss bolts. buddie is getting them tomorrow for me where he works. free.
5. already had a 2' x8' sheet of lath. expanded sheet metal. free. i am a plasterer.
6. wheels from my sons soap box with a threaded rod axle. well free since i had already got them 3 years ago. but i did buy them back then.
7. same buddie thats getting me the ss bolts snached me 3 cans of catipiller muffler flat 1000 degree muffler paint. free. oops. lol no he dont work for CAT lol.

looks like my uds will not cost much. since i just built a logsplitter recently i have all kinds of steel parts and pieces laying in a crate. so vents and springs ect... already have that in my shop. its going to be cooking a brisket this sat i hope.PDT_Armataz_01_18.gif

table and therm installed. table made of two 2" thick by 13" rough cut oak boards. that should prevent warping and give me room to sand and renew when needed. shes looking sweet. a few more mods and some finish painting she'll be ready for cooks. adding the ss bolts for grates now.
