welcome aboard don't know anything about that smoker,in my opinion you may try the 3-2-1 ribs like tex was saying, pretty fool proof cooking method there, then maybe try some chickens or maybe even just a turkey breast, get some of that under your belt, and in your belly!!! lol before stepping up to a whole turkey, cause a mistake there could be real ugly,if you know what i mean.besides the 5 day course,i would suggest building you smoking and grilling library.when i first started years ago i went to our public library and got a book just on smoking meat, from there i just got my hands on every cooking and grilling book i could which i still have a passion for collecting them.but just trial and error from there, good thing is most of the trial and errors are still good to eat!!!do a search on here and you'll find just about any question you have can already be found, but there's a pile of good folks on here to help you along the way. good luck and happy smoking biggrin.gif

Welcome to the forum! Is this the smoker you have? Looks like it's well built and should produce some good smokes. Don't forget to post pics of your smoking adventures.

Welcome to the SMF. best smokin' site on the net. Be sure and read Jeff's 5-day E coarse for good basic reading and review. You may want to read around the different forums, plenty of great ideas/tips.

Easiest?! A fatty, quick, easy to prepare to your taste and fairly cheap. A short 2 - 3 hour smoke and gratification and confidence booster! Then maybe ribs usin the 3 -2 -1 method or (it sounds scary and tough, but it aint) a pork butt. All good eatin vittles!

Can't help ya with the smoker, might find somebody comin up here that can. Good luck, don't be afraid, sit down hold on here we go!
