A Decent Rib Rub

Rub for ribs!

1c Sugar
1c Salt
1/4 c Red Chile Powder
1/4 c Onion Powder
1/4 c Garlic Powder
1/4 c Oregano
1/4 c Cumin
1/4 c Ginger Powder

Mix all and rub away!
 
here's a secrect i would like to share on making up rubs.........tho its prob. not a secret............

mix your rubs up, then put into a spice blender.....plus untill it gets to the way you would like it.....turns it into a real nice fine powder.........i have found it to stick better to the meat.......and.....tho i have'nt really researched it......seems to penetrate a bit better........

Sounds like a great idea Dude!
I just gotta get me another coffee grinder. I don't think I'd like BBQ flavored coffee in the morning.

By makeing your rub finer, it gives you a smoother, shineyer barq, i tend to do it more with ribs, but still grind most of the time for every thing.
