Hey everybody my name is Carl and I just bought a very simple smoker to start out with. I was fortunate enough to find a brand-new Brinkmann electric kettle smoker at a garage sale for a $20 bill. I've already smoked a brisket, a beer can chicken and some split chicken breasts in it. It maintains a constant 195 degrees F so it's pretty idiot-proof which is one of the reasons I love it LOL. Just add a few wood chips every hour and it just keeps smoking away. So please don't hold it against me if I'm not the fire charcoal and wood pellet type smoker LOL. Looking forward all the recipes, tips and tricks to smoking anything from brisket to ribs and more.

Hey Carl, glad to have you aboard! You'll find plenty of electric smokers in use around here. So jump on in and have fun!!

Happy smoking

Thanks Lance and JB. It's good to know I'm not the only wire nut in the bunch! Looking forward to many smoking tips and info.
