Hi, my name is Jeanette, I live in Cincinnati, OH and I purchased my first smoker from Craigslist. A while back my DH purchased a Weber charcoal smoker from Amazon, it was still in the box several weeks later so I returned it. He and probably me are too lazy to add wood at intervals to successfully smoke using that method. So, I bought this smoke hollow propane smoker for $60.00. The first thing I smoked was a pork butt, it was delicious but I did not get a great crust or smoke ring. Today, I'm cooking chicken drumsticks and 2 BISO breasts, they are looking and smelling great so far. The hardest part so far is the different times and temps, it wasn't until I found this site until someone mentioned crispy skin on chicken sheesh who wants rubbery chicken skin. I'm 1.5 hour in......Thanks for having me, I hope to learn a lot!

Welcome to the board! Experience is the best teacher. Use the Search here to look up your smoker and see how people use them. Heh heh wait until you try smoking some salmon.

I don't like salmon so no worries there. I'll eat it once in a while because it is good for you but I don't think I'll be smoking it. Chicken was delicious though!
