Just got our first smoker a few weeks ago. An Oklahoma Joe offset. Been having fun learning our smoker lessons lol. We started out with cheap cuts... Chicken and pork. Most successful with chicken so far. Graduation will be working our way up to a fat juicy brisket!

We have modded it out a little bit so far, sealed the firebox, added an elbow duct to the smoke stack. Waiting on clamps, baffle box and fire resistant 'gaskets' to put around the fire box lid and main lid to seal that sucker up tight as a drum!

Any advice is welcomed!

Thanks fellaz! They tasted great! Can't wait to get the rest of our mods later this week. Especially the baffle box. It cooks unevenly as it is now.

The steaks had a cinnamon, brown sugar and multiple other spices rub on it. Was delish! I love me some cinnamon..., no matter what I put it on lol.

That looks like good food to me ! I have an Oklahoma Joe's Highland that I just bought the other day that I plan to seal up and do some mods on.
