I didnt know where to post this one at, since I'm kinda new here but i thought since it's a sausage stuffer review... sausage might be a good place to start. I never owned a sauage stuffer, or an expert at meat progressing, last Christmas was when i got my first meat grinder which was only a feild and stream, one of the personal smaller eletric grinders which it gets the job done but really nothing else.

It can act like a stuffer but i learned real quick that it's more of a hassle than anything, which leads to me getting this stuffer.

Being in college, yeah I'm in college... probably one of the younger smokers on here at 22... I don't have the money to spend on a 200 300 dollar stuffer... even a 100 stuffer seemed too much. So I got on amazon and was looking for a cheap stuffer and came across this cheap which was 36 dollars I believe.. ..

clicked on it and the reviews were Okay, nothing special but got the job done. I then saw where they had even larger sizes and the one I ended up getting was the 6 liter one for around 56 dollars. It can hold up to 10lbs of meat which when I did my brats, I had around 8lbs of meat and it looked like it could have held another pound or two.
so the machine came literally as it looks in the pictures above, the cranking handle is held on by a fly bolt( guess that's what its called) and a washer. It has a little clamp that inserts into the bottom of it and can be attached to the countertop. it does alright, it will hold it in place but still slides around little, not that big of a problem. the instructions are "different" but who reads them anyway. It also came with many stuffer tubes which I liked since different types of sausage making takes different tube sizes. how the tubes get attached is you just twist them and they lock in... well kind of, its literally like 1/10th of a turn they twist and that's it, they feel like that they would just fall off but I didn't have any problems.

In all it got the job done. I did have a problem with the rubber seal that goes around the bottom part as you can see. Some meat did seep out around the seal at the bottom, around the pressure plate and the stuffing tube but it wasn't that much to make me want to return it.

cleaning was pretty easy as the whole thing can be taken apart as seen.

So final words: I'd say it'd be worth getting it if you're looking for a cheap stuffer. It's definitely better than using a grinder to stuff. but if you can afford a little more expensive unit, go for that but if you're in the same shoes as I am or just don't have the money to spend on a better unit this will work just fine for you. I did see that the regular price was around 100, I probably wouldn't have paid  that much for it but around 50 is just right

it also does leave some meat at the bottom that will not get pushed out, I'd say its around half a pound worth so if you are to get this stuffer, make sure you make a decent size batch to make it worth it. I make all these sausages by myself and it took about 2 hours from start to finish with everything cleaned up. on the green tray is brats and the blue is Cajun chicken and Italian chicken sausages

S13, nice post on your stuffer, your sausage looks great ! Whatever is left over in the bottom of your stuffer will make a good burger or two for the grill ! point!

It is so stressful to get to the end of stuffing and have leftover meat that you have to fry up and eat!

I usually take my stuffing tube off (leaving the casing on the tube) and hand stuff any leftover meat. I just want maximum sausage! (And don't want to toss a partial casing because I'm cheap...)
