Smoked off a 4.5 lb pork butt Sunday as a continuing trial / learning curve for my controller.Pretty much a 10 hr cook and the temps were maintained, for the most part, at 244°.  It's long on ugly, but it seems to work fairly well.

My thanks to dward51, CrankyBuzzard and DaveOmak for their helpful tips and support in my earlier post.

Thanks fer lookin'.

I'm glad to hear that it all worked out for you!  Looks like the butt came out really well, and I'd take a 244° average on a coal/stick burner any day of the week.

As for the fit and finish of the PID and external devices, now that you know it's working how you want it to, you can begin designing what you want the final look to be.

What's next on the smoker menu?  You can't quantify something until you've proven it 3 times!  At least that's what I tell my bride so I can cook more...
