Hello,

I'm from NC in the USA and am brand new to smoking. As I am typing this I have 2 racks of ribs in my new Smoke Hollow 26 inch propane smoker. I used hickory chips and have it hovering around 240 to 250 degrees. I find I'm filling the water pan every hour or so and the smoke chips as well. Is there a way to reduce the frequency because I know opening the door to a vertical smoker while cooking is a sin. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Welcome to the forum!  Get an a-maze-en for your wood, and a needle valve mod for your burner, get rid of the water.  Happy smoken!
