sfprankster's (mis)adventures Cooking Fast 'n Furious with Cast Iron-NY Steak 'n Eggs

I recently got my grubby paws on a New York strip for $3.47/lb... :yahoo:

While trimming and processing the NY strip for our meals, I cut a few thinner steaks(.5"-.75") for some fast breakfasts. Seeing as we are leaving on another road trip today, my gf began making a steak 'n sunnyside up eggs breakfast. She's the pro at the sunnyside up eggs...I'm much more adept at the broken version, which is nowhere as good... :icon_rolleyes:  The NY steaks were cooked in a smokin' hot cast iron pan... 241.png

No "in progress" images today, I was busy loading the car during preparation...

...just the final "sitting at the table" indulgence images... :drool

...and the "money shot in all its ooey, gooey goodness...

Have a great weekend!!!

All the prep and cooking was done by my gf,,, :439:

All I did was to earn my "Participation Trophy" by eating it all...

Thanx for the point!!!

Like I said before, this is all the doing my gf. I can take no credit for the fabulous breakfast, other than coming close to licking the plate clean. :drool

Another variation on the steak 'n  eggs today...

Added some of my smoked spring onions to the cast iron to caramelize and topped the steaks with them...

Still roughin' it in the Santa Cruz mountains, sfprankster style... nana2.gif

Man when life is rough it's hard of course you wouldn't know. :laugh1: Looks awesome although I could use a little more pepper on those eggs.

Personally I like a lot of pepper too.

I can't complain though, this meal is what I awoke to, from a 45 minute nap.
