Hi all, my name is Derek. I'm new to personally smoking meats but I've been around it for quite a while. My father is a very avid, and amazing, smoker (chances are he's probably on these forums even). A month or so ago he upgraded his smoker and I got his old one. It's an electric one with a remote. After a Google image search I'd say it's a 30 or 40 inch one. I'll be doing my first run this weekend when I attempt to do a 5lb pork loin for our Game of Thrones launch party (I'm calling it "The boar that killed king Robert").
I have a few questions but I'll be posting those in the correct sub-forums. Just wanted to stop by and introduce myself first. See you around the forums!
