Just want to take a moment to introduce myself. Live in the USA in Illinois. No, not anywhere near Chicago. Live in the are we call, Central Illinois.
My wife and I are both retired and enjoy many things, including travel, golf, gandkids, Corvettes, etc. Purchased a Big Green Egg last year and enjoyed grilling a variety of meats on it but smoked my first brisket yesterday and I am hooked.
Plan to smoke some ribs this afternoon and my 2nd brisket will soon follow.
Any advice/help in the area of picking good quality meats, smoking, bar-b-q'ing will be greatly appreciated.
A total novice at this kind of thing.
