After seeing how good Larry's and others chicken has been coming out i decided to make a chicken of my own. So i spatchcocked a bird and applied some rub
I used a new rub i got through the mail from butchers BBQ as you can see in the pic.
then i got some fire going in the Lang
After the fire was going i got the meat on the smoker ( i smoked some tenderloins and a pork butt too)
When the chicken was at about 158 IT i pulled it and put on some BBQ sauce (ketchup, lemon juice, molasses,1 tbs of rub, honey and margarine)
then back on smoker until it reach 165 degrees and then wrapped for 30 minutes to rest.
when it was done i enjoyed a nice leg quarter as seen here and it was great chicken!
