brutally simple smoker design needed

I live in Dhaka Bangladesh. I can hire a tinsmith to make a smoker but I need a simple design that a non-English reader could follow. Size and looks not important as it will be at my house man's place. We are having to use mango wood. Please send some plans. Many thanks. Owen

Thanks Dave. Dimensional wood is hard to get and expensive here. Sheet metal is a lot easier. This is a hobby venture not a commercial one so it doesn't need to look pretty. Owen

Barrel smoker?

Let me ask about finding a metal barrel. Also if they can rig something up from the designs shown. As far as I can tell this would be a first in Bangladesh as they don't eat pork, the beef comes mostly from India and has to be boiled, scrawny chickens and no turkeys. Still there ways around any challenge. The US Commissary!!!
