Just joined this site and am learning my way around. Hope not to tick off anyone for doing things incorrectly.
I'm new to smoking but am looking at buying a weber 18.5 smoker. My main concern is can you use just hardwood in it rather than charcoal. I heat my house with wood and have an abundance of it, plus there is no better way to barbeque other than over a hardwood fire.
Looking to glean the knowledge from this experienced group.
PS Live in northern NY in the Adirondack Mountains.
