For those of you who use your Fire grate\ash pan for a baffle.

Do you cut holes in it?

Do you seal it tight against the fire box?

and one more... Do you still use the warming rack? Thank you for all your help.

Do you cut holes in it? If you want to, I know one guy who used a step drill and drilled 4 evenly spaced holes across and evenly spaced holes down the long axis. The first row was 3/16 inch, the next row was the next larger step and so on up 3/4 on the last row.

Do you seal it tight against the fire box? Yes, you can also hold it in place by supporting it with the charcoal grates for the side fire box

and one more... Do you still use the warming rack? Thank you for all your help. Yes, you can cook on it
Good luck.
