After reading so many posts on curing sausages and other meats, I decided to jump head first. I had a spare fridge in the garage that I used for lagering homebrew. Moved the fridge to the basement and started the conversion.

Should be enough room to start...

Hole cut for fan

Fan installed - outside view. Used a entertainment system cooling fan.

Fan installed - inside view. Fan can with USB plug to daisy chain if additional fans are needed.

Electrical outlet, humidity controller, and temp control probe installed

Temperature controller installed

Remote temperature and hydrometer, humidifier added

Remote thermometer and hydrometer - need to tweat a bit to get the correct temp and humidity

Ready and waiting for some meat!

Overall this was a very simple project to complete thanks to all the infomation found on this website. Will post pics as I start to load this baby up.

Nice build.

I have just bout the same. On your Crane humidifier and fans watch the R/H as you can get case hardening pretty fast.

Nice job on the curing box! If you don't mind me asking how much do you have into it(minus the fridge)?
