No real reason for the title, just a bit of Pacific Northwest History. If you know who coined that phrase without using your search engine of choice Post it up!
Back to reality after the $78 dinner for two . On sale $20.00 dinner for four...
Safeway had steak and Asparagus on sale and we had taters. So I fired up the mini-wsm, mesquite lump, Kingsford briquettes, and cherry wood.
Bingo, Bango, Bongo! (any guesses??)
I'm sure some are wondering why the mix of lump and briquettes and cherry. Well I have found that with the cold temps I cannot get the lump to smoke tbs without a kicker. So using mostly briquettes and some lump for the mesquite flavor. Cherry in there because it's great with beef!
Now for the pics!
Steak seasoned with CBP, Sea Salt, garlic, and Chipolte
Warming up the fire!
Into the Mini-WSM
Looking good. Flipped at 100* IT. Mini running at 295*
Plated, asparagus is greener than it appears in the pick!
Post Apocalypse shot!
Buy more beef with bones!!
