I work for a Design firm that designs Ubber Big Houses. Occasionally we get a few perks here and there from our clients. This afternoon one stopped by and delivered all of us a couple steaks. Wagyu New York cut!!! Of course being the flaunting type he left the price tags on them. My two steaks a Whopping $78.00

Thank goodness I don't have to pay someone to cook them!!! I dug through the pantry and gathered another $5.00 worth of stuff to go with them...

Here's what $78.00 of Wagyu looks like. Using Sea Salt and Cracked pepper, that's it! Going on the Mini-Wsm with cherry and Mesquite.

The boys are getting cheap store bought hot dogs!!!! When they get old and have jobs they can buy their own Wagyu!!

A minimum of $250 in a restaurant.   $ 125 per person, excluding sides, wines or other drinks?  What is the charge for a baked potato and a salad in these restaurants?

That wouldn't even be a high end New York restaurant.  It would be more there?

And we are living in bad times?  Austerity?

Good luck and good smoking.

Okay, so here's the results... Worst Steak ever!!! Melt in your mouth, buttery, could cut with your finger tender... So bad I might even find myself secretly buying one and running off into some remote place to enjoy it by myself!!!!!

Look at that fat!! Fat's supposed to be yellow!!! Pulled at 130* IT.

WARNING YOU MAY HAVE A HEART ATTACK JUST LOOKING!!!

I normally eat the skin of my potato, but I was too full, So I stuffed it with some of the fat, and a few pieces of steak and gave it to snow dog, he hated it too...

Good thing that Mini-WSM is uber portable......

Great looking steaks.  Way out of my retirement income range though....

Way out of my Employment income!!! I passed at the $50.00 sale price of a packer brisket today!! That brisket was 20lbs. These steaks were $32/lb. yikes!

Nice score!!!!

Great job on cooking them. Too many people want their steaks over cooked and it drives me batty having to cook a beautiful steak past medium......

Lucky dog.......

Beautiful Steaks man..I can only say I've had Kobe Beef one or two times...while they were as you described "buttery", I just couldn't justify paying that kind of coin for a steak...no a matter how good. I'm beer drinking man and my palate is not discerning enough to appreciate the $ difference! Where's my Natural Light?

Don't get me wrong, I'd eat the hell out of those! Nice score, free nintey free...my favorite price!

We have a local cattle ranch here that feeds the cow the spent mash from the breweries here. Then they sell the beef back to some of the brew pubs. Pretty tasty stuff too!

Looks great man!

I'm a huge steak nut and travel all over sampling fancy steaks.  Usually my wife says 'Why do we keep going to all these places--yours are always better'

Until we went to a place that had nice Wagyu...one bite and she says 'oohhhhh...that's niiice!'

I envy you

...and your dog!
