Hey hey,
Well, my name is John and I am a long time lurker and finally got around to posting. I use a 30" MES w/ side loader because my apartment has a thing against open flames but not electric smokers. I am originally from Missouri where me and my college buddies used to grill 4-5 nights a week year round, so when I moved to New Orleans, Louisiana for a job with the railrod, I had to kiss the grill and the times with friends goodbye.
Anyways, after a year of only grilling twice at the "community grill" and being disappointed by exactly every single bbq I have been to in the south, I decided to ship in some Gates and Son's BBQ sauce and buy a smoker. (Nothing personal, the seafood down here is AMAZING but the BBQ joints are lacking)
I love this site, the good community feel, and all the Q-Views going on. Thanks in advance for the help and thanks for having me!!
