Got my WSM 18.5 this past Thursday and unfortunately this was my weekend to work. Yep, still in the box. It will be coming out Monday and I will be lighting it up. Very excited to get my smoke on! And...very happy to find this group!

Got the WSM out of the box today and seasoned it up. Found it much easier than expected to control the temp. Gonna go with ribs and beans in the morning.

Yup you sure will like your WSM. I've had all kinds of charcoal/wood smokers and my 18.5 blows them away. I opted for the 18.5 for use in the RV.

Life is good.

You got a real winner there with your WSM. I call mine "set-it-and-forget-it" easy, it just plain works with no problems. If you ever decide to add eyeletts for probes, check out the link just bellow my signature line.

I smoked a brisket a couple weeks ago and it was -20 with 20-30 wind. It was a little over half full of lump and I got 6 hours at 230-240 with vary little care.
