It's been a while since I've poked around here but I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and see whats on the menu for "Turkey Day"  (my turkey comes in a bottle but that's a whole 'nother story)

I'm going with a pork loin  1/3 will be cured for CB and the rest smoked normally, and also a couple beef shoulder roasts for those that don't want pork.....or like me would like some of both. :)

I have done 3 loaves of pumpkin bread today....from some home canned pumpkin. Yummy! We are going to have our 1st smoked turkey and a fried one too. Dressing of course and all sorts of sides!

Hope y'all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Doing Turkey and the typical sides but the family wants a Traditional Roasted Turkey

Sounds good!

Here's my plan

Baked Cottage Ham with Bourbon Glaze
Cider-Brined Applewood Smoked Spatchcocked Turkey
Baked Onion bagel, Wild Mushroom and Apple Dressing.
Stuffed Baked Smoked sweet potatoes topped with bacon, maple and hickory nut crumble.
Creamed monnopa spinach.
Blue cheese broccoli casserole.
Hearts of romaine ceasar salad.
Cranberry-Chipotle sauce.
Butter and egg cloverleaf rolls.
Pumpkin cheesecake with gingersnap crust...topped with a dollop of bourbon whipped cream.

Oops....forgot the gravy!
