Yes and boykjo fixed him up.... and another member last week was thinking about buying one..... I was looking for the stolen smoker on CL this AM and there it was... posted today..... East Coast to West Coast..... beyond me....

Sorry it has taken so long to get back in touch with you. First of all let me say that the smoker is new never been used and yes trailer has a clear title.
I am forced to sell the smoker, my mother is in hospital in very serious condition. My family's home was destroyed. We lost our home to Hurricane Sandy. A lot of people helped to clean up, The overall atmosphere was upbeat rather than depressing, but there was a very strong defiant air about residents' and volunteers' behavior. They seemed to be saying: "Yes, we are a neglected borough, and we're taking care of things ourselves."
I'm an US Navy Seaman currently stationed in Portsmouth, NH and the smoker is here with me, I can have it shipped from here by an Navy cargo plane so there won't be any shipping costs for you. The shipping takes around 48 hours, depending on your location. At the bottom of post #6 from Lingiuca, you can click the link and navigate to Custom Pits of Georgia. Which "appears" legit. Are they the scammers or are others also trolling for victims.

Sounds like a scam I almost got sucked into a couple years ago with a truck and Craigslist. The part that really kills me is they are using the military angle to work this.
The next step would be for them to ask you to put the money into an escrow account before it is shipped. The last time I checked the military transport had more important things to do then transport non military items across the country. Could be wrong, but sounds off to me......

That is a scam! Similar one on CL for atvs and the seller was supposedly in the Air Force and it would be shipped via Air Force Transport.

I was in the military 21 yrs ...as many of you have been. I think we all know you're not shipping crap via Air Force or Navy "Transport". Though we did take our motorcycles on a CH-47 to El Paso from Ft Hood once.
