Tried posting this before not sure if I worded somthing wrong or pushed the wrong button but since I dont see it posted here I will try againg.

I live in saskatchewan Canada and as all know it gets very cold here.

I own an electric auto feed smoker and have trouble keeping the heat up when its -20 degrees after having the door open to put in the product.

I am wondering if there is a way to counteract this by insulating better or a better smoker for this type of enviroment.

i do like the fact it is all digital control and dont realy have to baby sit it but the way it is in cold weather makes for a very long day.

Just looking for opinions or ideas thanks.

I wrap mine in insulation when cold, it good for about an extra 20 degrees that way

Get yourself a water heater blanket at Lowe's or Home Depot (or whatever y'all have up there in the Great White North).  Keep it handy and wrap around and on top of that sucker right after you close the door again.  You should see results.

Now, I live in Southern Virginia but have background and experience with Heating systems - insulate for more efficient and effective heat.

Good luck and good smoking.
