Well I got my AMNPS yesterday and just had to try it out. I did a dry run test last night to see how it would do in my rear fire box mod and it performed awesome! I really wanted to test it out on a long smoke but I had to work on my car all day. (Have I ever mentioned I HATE fords?) So after getting myself cleaned up I thought I deserve a steak and then I can use my AMNPS. So I ran up to the store and picked up a nice 19oz T-Bone, they didn;t have a great selection and that was the thickest one they had. I sprinkled a little Montreal Steak Seasoning on it:

I just put in about half a row of Pitmaster Blend in the AMNPS and lit with my propane torch:

I was getting a light thin stream of almost invisible smoke coming out of the top vent. It reminded me of those digital 3D pictures back in the 80's, remember the ones you had to stare at and relax your eyes to see the picture? That's what it was like looking for the smoke, it was like the perfect TBS, I just thought "mystery smoke"! I tried to get a picture but it just wouldn't show up.

I kept the smoker temp right at 210* and after 55 minutes the T-Bone hit 110* so time to hit the 500* grill. I just love the color steaks get on the smoker:

1 - 1.5 minutes on each side letting the flames sear it good:

And then on the plate ready to enjoy:

Medium Rare just like I like it:

I have to say, the AMNPS is going to change the way I smoke, or at least change my results, It is Awesome! And the Pitmaster Blend Pellets are sooooo gooood!!! The steak had just a hint of smoke and it was a very mild mellow flavor, just the way any seasoning is supposed to be, not overpowering just a good flavor that you're not sure of what you are really tasting. It complimented the flavor of the beef so well! I'm hooked!

S2K morning....  Looks perfect to me....  I guess you like the "tool box" AMNPS garage addition to your smoker....  I do....  Dave

The Steak looks Great...Nice Marbling...As far as " I hate Fords" goes if you are talking about spending all day playing with your 2000 Focus, I feel for you. But if you are working on a '68 Mustang Mach 1 with a 428CJ engine...Quit Complaining!...

How about having to pull the transfer case out of a '98 Expedition and tear it down just to replace a seal that should be able to be done in the car, I wish it was a '68 Mach1, that I would enjoy working on!

Don't know how I missed this one Dave - looks great
