I’ve been lurking around for a few months. Grabbing some recipes and such. Tried my first Boston butt per Jeff's recipe in a Masterbuilt 40". It was a crowd pleaser!

Wife saw a Brinkman Smoke-n-pit at Walmart and picked it up for me for Christmas. I’ve done a couple of minor smokes on it now.

I read about some of the mods on here, added bricks to the cook chamber and using the poor man’s baffle. I also extended the chimney down and over. I’ll be adding a support leg to the fire box this weekend. Might even try making a no-weld charcoal basket from expanded metal also!

Welcome to the forum, the right place to be for folks with our habits. Lotsa smart people on here and some great recipes. Enjoy
