Smokin' out Texas

Discussion in 'Roll Call' started by sgtratliff, Dec 31, 2014.

  1. Hey yall, I am Jerry out of Fort Hood, Texas. I am originally from South East Texas but currently station at Ft. Hood. I have helped my dad with smokin' meat since I was 15. I currently have a small Weber grill that I smoke my dove with. I still have a lot to learn and came here for suggestions and tips. I am a very active hunter so if you need help or company just send a message. For the last 2 years I have been processing my own deer and the for the next two days I will process my first wild hog. Any tips and recipes for taking meat from the field to pitt would be much appreciated. If you have any questions about how I bring meat from the field to the pitt just send a message and I'd be glad to help.

  3. Good afternoon to you as well, thank you for supporting. It is a cold and cloudy day here at Hood as well, but it makes the perfect day to process wild game!  I wish I could have found this site before I married my wife! There would have been a lot better BBQ on the table and a lot less raised eye brows.
