Hello all

 Just joined the site after having a look around. Seems like a real knowledgeable, supportive and friendly bunch.

 Currently working with a Little Chief while I am work on my custom smoker. Mostly smoke salmon, chicken and ribs. 

 I am a tree worker so come across lots of fruit trees and am starting to use those for chips, adding plum and pear to alder and apple as my main choices. If there are any members here who live on Vancouver Island or nearby, I'd be happy to share some chips.

 Look forward to my time here and thanks to Jeff and others for the New Member page.

First off welcome to SMF there Pat. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.
