Hello everyone. Ive been lurking on this site for about a week and a half and I felt it was about time to say hello.

My wife found me a used Brinkmann Gourmet smoker and I decided to try some leg quarters on it about a week ago. They were awesome! Some of the best chicken i've had. Definitely got me hooked.

A little about myself I suppose... I'm a disabled veteran and am currently not working so im looking for a hobby to keep me occupied. Lately, smoking has kept me pretty interested. Anyways, thats enough about me. Cheers!

Welcome to SMF ntf1015.  Glad you're here.  Thank you for your service and your sacrifice.  Smoking meat will keep you hooked on delicious table offerings for years.  You should get lots of ideas here to keep you occupied for quite some time.  Then when you start getting creative, share what you've done.  We all love to see what each other creates with our backyard magic.

Have fun!

Welcome from SC, Thank you so much for your service. Smoking is a wonderful hobby, pastime, addiction.....whatever you want it to be. Lots of great folks here always eager to share their wealth of knowledge. All you need to do is ask. As you said, all it takes to get hooked is some good chicken.......or butt, or ribs, or even burgers. When you get a chance, send us some pics. Good luck and good smoking, Joe
