I am a relatively new smoker from Utah. Its hard to learn where I live, for some reason I think I am the only one that somewhat knows what I am doing. Most people in Utah think its a sin to smoke (Mormon joke).

I am lookikng to meat some friends that really know what there doing to get me on the right track. I use a Tejas Smoker its the 16288cc deluxe smoker. Here is a link.http://www.tejassmokers.com/products/1628cc.htm

I will link some pictures when I figure out how to. If anyone has tips on getting started for this website I would appreciate it.

If anyone wants to take me under there wing a little that would be great to. I have gone through the 5 day course and I have smoked probally 15 briskets 25 pork shoulders and a bunch of chicken. I mostly grilled ribs before. I am very famous around my town for them. Now I am trying to smoke them instead and have not quite got it down yet.

Thanks to anyone that can help or have advice. I am happy that I can further my knowledge here and have run with meeting some new friends. Thanks Guys!

Welcome Kile.
Ever watch that show Big Love?
Now that is some good Mormon watching right there.

15 briskets 25 shoulders, sounds like you have a pretty good idea about what you're doing. I bet you could help teach some people here a few things with those under your belt.
