Hi all, just curious about the different models offered on these cookers. I see a wide body offered and noticed alot of you have what you are calling a "big block". Are these the same or is the big block bigger than the wide body. My dad is thinking about getting a gas smoker and I'm trying to convince him to get the biggest one available. These GOSM's seem like good units and everyone on here seems to like theirs. Thanks for any help.

The big Block is 24 inches wide inside, allowing for space to accommodate a full rack of ribs, I believe the widebody is 20 inches wide. They are not available at most places any longer. You may be able to find them at Bass Pro shop I ordered mine from there a few months back

there are some other brands that are 24 inches wide too

Thanks for the quick reply flatbroke. What are some of the other options that you would recommend if the GOSM is unavailable?

Dave

some people like the 24" smoke vault at Gander Mountain for $250. I like the looks of it better than the GOSM. Never used it though.
