I grilled a flat iron steak for lunch today, and I am disappointed with it. The only other flat irons that I have had is the Jack Daniels flat iron at TGI Fridays, which I enjoy very much. I did grill it on my gasser due to time constraints; so, I expected a lesser taste than what I get off of my Weber, but it just didn't have any taste at all, and it was very mushy in texture.
Does this cut require marinating in order to have any flavor, or did I just get a poor example of the cut?
