Hi everyone...  quick question

I have a build design right now and my side firebox is 150% of the calculated size. Is an oversized firebox a problem? Or what should the maximum 'oversize' be?

Heres a power point of my initial design for the reverse flow

its basically a 2' x 4' octagonal cooker.

Thoughts on firebox size?

150% is not too big but I would not recommend going any bigger.

Lots of folks prefer an oversize firebox.

If you go too big though, it can make it harder to keep the fire under control after opening the door to add fuel.
