Beer or No Beer, that is the Question!

    All right everyone, are you sitting down for this one.....Total newbie question here, when you make beer can chicken do you pop the top and leave the beer??? for moisture... My wife thinks so, I personally think it needs to be drank first, but I'll give a couple up for the cause if that's what it takes....

    You pop the top.
    Remove about a 1/4 of said beer.
    Place Garlic and Rub spices in about 3/4 of a full can and have at er.

    SuperVman Thanks for the quick reply!! BTW I'm a new Vikes fan ever since my boy All Day Petersen left OU(boomer sooner) for Minnie!!!! I still dont think that 5 pound bird can drink 3/4 a can of beer. I'll share though....In the end I suppose it's worth it.

    Agree, although using beer or Dr Pepper or Wine, it really does nothing to flavor the bird. JMHO

    Grab 2 beers, one for you and the other for the wife. Pop tops on both, then drink yours. After finishing yours drink 1/2 of your wife's then proceed to recipe with wife's remaining 1/2 beer.
