I purchased the Masterbuilt Electric Smokehouse (Analog) 30" and just finished preseasoning with Hickory wood chips.

Tomorrow I am planning to try a Pork Butt and make some pulled pork!

    Any suggestions/tips/advice?

Looking forward to joining the "smoking" community and helping contribute as well in the future!

    Many thanks in advance!

Use the search bar on here to your advantage. There are plenty of good posts like "Bear's Step by Step" that will guide you through the whole process.

The best advice is to give yourself more time than you think you need. There is nothing worse than telling people that dinner will be served at 7 and the butt not being done until 10.

Also search for finishing sauce there are a variety of great ones.

Change of plans! The deli only had 3 Pork butts and the smallest was 10lbs! I don't have 20 hours to work on it this weekend unfortunately so It looks like it will be Country Style Ribs instead. Oh well, either way...just getting to use the new smoker is the plan!

Not yet, that's my next thing.... I really wanna get into that ! I have a man cave set up in my basement that some have referred to as "The Waterin Hole" & it's always a cold beer... While we shoot pool & watch football or a race !

I have my man cave all set up in my basement as well. I have a movie theater screen set up for the projector a full bar and something called a skybox by Maytag which is awesome. Also I suggest getting the beer tender if you just want to be able to serve some quick beers… And for that real bar feel I have also bought a mega touch system off of eBay! Set at the free play and it's awesome. We have a foosball table darts pool table etc.… it's my favorite place to go hang out LOL.

As for home brewing my painter just start off with a small kit that is entry-level to see if you like it that way you don't invest a lot of money. I would suggest through demon. As for home brewing might pay to just start off with a small kit that is entry-level to see if you like it that way you don't invest a lot of money. I would suggest brewdemon.com. I've actually had a lot of luck with them and it's pretty much a no muss no fuss kind of thing. So after 3 hours I pulled them out and basted them with sauce. Covered in a foil pan. Poured the leftover Miller Lite in. Closed the door but.....NOT BEFORE A GRABBED A PIECE THAT FELL OFF :). It was pretty damn good lol. Hard to put them back in. My wife said "they're done!" And I said "No...the forum said at least another hour in foil" lol. But boy I was ready!
