The wife wants to get a new smoker for our anniversary. (one year she thought we should get a new boat- I was at the dealer pretty quickly).   I was leaning toward the 22.5 but some reviewers mention that it's easier to regulate the temp in the smaller unit.   Can the smaller unit handle a large turkey?   Disregarding the price difference, any thoughts on which unit to get.  Thanks.

ive got them both, if i had to choose, i would go with the 22.5. i have absolutley no trouble AT ALL maintaining temps in EITHER. i always say its better to have it and not need it than need the space and not have it.

My theory is to buy the biggest one you will ever need - not sure how much entertaining you do. For me I need to be able to do at least 10 racks of ribs at any given time - I have 9 grandkids alone

I have both and u have to think about the ease of cooking larger cuts that the 22.5 offers. Better for brisket, ribs, large turkeys, multiple butts etc... Plus if u ever wanna add a rib-o-lator you need the larger. Water bowl sits higher above charcoal grate also.
